After a long hiatus, I got back into running in 2021. I’ve worked with both Sam both one on one, as well as been a part of PSRC (from the start!!). When describing both working with Sam and PSRC, the phrase that comes to mind is game changer. I have always been an athlete, but I had never understood how to run. Before I joined Project Sweat Run Club, my running had completely plateaued. Not only had it been several years without any PRs, I was routinely getting injured, and had spent more money on physical therapy than I would like to admit. Running had become a chore. But then I met Sam. After getting to know her credentials and approach to training, I eagerly joined PSRC and haven’t looked back since. Not only were my results immediate and lasting, but she’s shown me what’s possible with the help of an experienced coach and group of like-minded individuals striving to get the most out of themselves. This past year, she helped me smash my marathon PR by over 10 minutes, with a negative split to boot! She holds you accountable when you need tough love, and is kind and caring when you need encouragement after a tough week. What’s impressed me most though is the amazing community of runners she’s built within PS, ranging from veteran marathoners and Ironmen (and women!) triathletes, to novice runners and folks just easing back into running post injuries. Sam has an incredible ability to put together really effective (and hard!) programs whether in the gym, on the run, or in your home. Sam takes the time to make sure she understands your needs, is aware of how you’re feeling before you start, and makes you work the hardest you’ve ever worked in your life! She really pays attention to the integrity of your movements and ensures you’re moving properly. Whether I leave Sam’s classes or her virtual training sessions, I’m always sore, sweaty (for the better), and feeling my best!

As a Physical Therapist, I am very cautious with programs, as I don’t find most to be safe and well rounded…but PSRC programming is challenging, while also covering both of those things. Project Sweat Run Club has been beyond helpful with my training. The program gives you ample opportunity to improve your running skills, no matter what level you are starting at. PSRC is one of the most welcoming and non judgmental fitness communities I’ve been a part of. Sam has created a run club filled with like minded people who like to have fun while hitting their goals! When I got hurt Spring 2021, Sam was knowledgeable, patient, and understanding through my recovery process. She was able to modify my training to my needs after listening to my feedback post run, encouraged me to keep going, and was there to celebrate all the little wins along the way!
